The Sun and Her Flowers Book Review
Because of Rupi Kaur’s previous work Milk and Honey, The Sun and Her Flowers was easily received by the growing fans and supporters of the authors. Instantly became a bestseller, The Sun and Her Flowers book has grown popularity rapidly across the US and even around the world. The collection of poems that are included in Rupi Kaur’s latest work touched many hearts and are even wanting to read more!
But here’s the actual The Sun and Her Flowers review taken from both our friends at Amazon, GoodReads, and Readitity. I have read some The Sun and Her Flowers review from Amazon and felt that these where lazy reviews. A lot though have a fair rating of Rupi Kaur’s latest collection of poems. Majority finds it that the first book which is Milk and Honey is way better than The Sun and Her Flowers.
They are saying that The Sun and Her Flowers is just a mock up of Milk and Honey and the lines and paragraphs where just made a little lengthier. How can that be? Well that is how the readers from Amazon finds The Sun and Her Flowers book is. Although there are also a number of readers who apparently loved The Sun and Her Flowers better than the first book with is Milk and Honey. They said is it more mature and contains deeper sense of meaning to very sensitive topics.
Now at GoodReads, many reviewers are more critical than anywhere else. Some still love the content of The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur better than Milk and Honey. They said that is written way more mature than the previous work but still some are saying that someday, Rupi Kaur will be writing poems that has more “soul” in it. Some also pointed out that The Sun and Her Flowers have lines or poems that actually are based from other poems of lesser known authors. I personally can’t say that Rupi Kaur intentionally copied such ideas but perhaps really made her own lines and ideas but unfortunately earlier works of similar content might already have been published elsewhere.
Still, other finds The Sun and Her Flowers’ contents are just the longer version of what was in Milk and Honey. The actually find the first book more original and has more soul. They feel that the second book was hurriedly made. Others even criticize the illustrations made in the book – which I feel differently.
So much bad reviews but a lot are of good ratings. Readitify somehow sees something else from this latest Rupi Kaur work. Yes we noticed that some of her works in The Sun and Her Flowers are somehow related or borrowed from Milk and Honey but is laid out different and unique. So that does not mean they are the same and just lengthened. Her writing style has improve drastically since Milk and Honey was published – it’s now more mature and a bit provoking. Although it seems that Rupi Kaur is little less critical to touch sensitive topics like physical abuse, feminism, and racism.
Overall, Readitify rates Rupi Kaur The Sun and Her Flowers a huge 4.7 stars! Amazon rates it at 4.6 and GoodReads at 4.18 stars respectively. That’s actually a great rating for a second book that is listed as a bestseller. Wow! Rupi Kaur has done it again and perhaps would continue her streak in the future books that she’s publish. So whether you are looking to download The Sun and Her Flowers pdf or even just to read The Sun and Her Flowers online – whatever your choice go ahead and surely you will be delighted. However, I strongly suggest too that you should get the copy of Rupi Kaur’s The Sun and Her Flowers legitimately by buying it or register for book rental service.
